After leaving his past as Hitokiri Battousai behind him, Himura Kenshin lived as a wanderer for 10 years before meeting a young woman named Kamiya Kaoru. He decides to help her in defeating a murderer claiming to be Battousai who uses the Kamiya style in fighting, destroying her family’s good name. Upon realizing the gentle Kenshin was the real Battousai, she offers him a place to stay in her dojo.
