Next stop, Fanime!

Hi guys!

AOD was pretty fun and all but I spent most of my time inside the malls and our hotel room more than the actual con itself. So I can't really judge on how fun the convention itself was... but whatever! My friends and I won best presentation runner up which was surprising and cool at the same time. We worked hard for that dang skit and it was our first time doing a voice recording so we're so glad it came out well! ^~^;

Next up in line is Fanime. The con I have been waiting for. I love it more than Anime Expo I think and I've been to AX 3 times already and Fanime only 2 times! Heh. I don't know, it's not too crowded but it's definitely not empty. I love the hotels being close and the weather. I also love the friends I've made there, the swap meet, the raves, the atmosphere, the convention center. Anime Expo was great at Anaheim but the Staples center is a bit too long and I end up doing more walking than I'd like to :[ So that deducted points off of AX for me. STILL I love it but Fanime comes first to me....so far :D

I have big plans this year too so I'm going to be busy busy busy! I can't say some of what I'll be doing but I will say it's going to be awesome *~* I'll add a cosplay line-up photo or whatever to this so you can see what I'll be taking. For now I think I will sleep. I am tired....good night you guyyyzzz !!

AOD 2011 . San Francisco.

Hey thar~

Yay, Sheik actually is posting something in this long forgotten blog of hers! How rude of her to have temporarily abandon it. My apologies though. I've been busy and lazy at the same time soooo my top priorities *cough* Ps3, costuming,facebook* have been taking over. Oh and work too. Yeah, work.... I'm doing fine though! ^-^; Some personal stuff kind of went on too but not bad stuff. I'm sure some of you already read my other blog and are caught up!

Soooooooo.........AOD. I'm going to Animation On Display in like 2 weeks. It's an anime convention held at the Kabuki Hotel in Japantown, San Francisco here in Cali. It's a fun con because there's nice people, the hotel is pretty and the underground mall is like right there. It's so fun going to the cute little Japanese shops in your costume. Hehe. Sometimes it weirds the older Japanese people out but you'd think they'd be use to it! Maybe they're weirded out because we're American? Is weirded even a word? My spellchecker disagrees but sometimes it underlines words that are completely acceptable. In any case. I'm going to this con and I'm excited. I just need to actually finish my costumes.

I've decided to go as Ayame Sohma in a maid outfit "he made" and Mai from Avatar. My friends are going as Avatardz so I was like "I'll join!" Let's just hope I can afford the fabric. I'll probably go out to JoAnn's sometime soon to get it. I think today I'll work on my dress.

Also Rikku, Agitha and Bridget are OFFICIAL costumes I'll be taking to Fanime in May. I have started working on the new ones. Agitha will be touched up!

Eee..I got to go potty! I guess I'm done writing now. :D TOODLES.

I think I've been going a bit over board on cosplay too. I've been wanting to make WAAAAY too many costumes. I know I want to, but themoney is unfortunately an issue and I really need to calm down with it all. I have 4 new costumes I want to make for Fanime and I think that is all I will buy anything for. I already have all I need for Fado, I don't exactly have all I need for Luxray but I might just paint my body where the blue shows....I kind of like the idea of that but I don't know. I DON'T KNOW. O___O We shall see about that idea later.

ANYWAY! I'll list character names of all I will work on from now until Fanime. They won't exactly be in the order I'll be making them because I usually work on a few at a time!

(Thanks Ne-chan for the post, helped me kind of calm down with the cosplay thing too.) I love cosplay but...I honestly do need to relax before I'm broke and also too busy to find a job.

No JoAnn's today.. Oh well! Went to Ross and Wal-Mart. Didn't buy anything though, just followed Robby's sister around as she bought Valentine's stuff for her kids.

I haven't been doing anything but following Robby around and stuff. Eventually I will have to work on my cosplay stuff. I need more money though, so I'm lookin' into getting a job while I'm here. Probably like a house keeping kind of thing. I'd prefer that over a stupid food job. UGH. It makes me sick thinking of a fast food job. ;[



Sooo, I haven't been able to do any videos either for my cosplay youtube, which SUCKS! I really want the Mino FlipHD. It's smaller than the Flip Ultra, but the quality is the same as the Flip UltraHD! I'm more concerned about quality, more than the size of the screen... IF I have nice money though I may just get the FLip UltraHD!! XD Heheheee. I want that AND a dress form. Then I will be a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! n____________________n


Anyway...my baby is playing with his new PS3. I am happy for him. He isn't a huge addict for games, he plays for a while then does other stuff..so I am fine with it. We both have our own stuff we like to do (I like games but I love the internet too..xD)

Alright and since Amber posted her thing for 2010, I felt the need to put mine too!! Well, what I have planned so far O___O!

AOD, con wise---ehhh, it was small (which was a known fact), the place was nice, but there wasn't that much to do...really. We mostly walked around and looked at either art or dealer hall stuff. When that got boring (which is sort of did...EVEN THOUGH there were tons of talented artist, I just didn't have cash on me the whole trip so I didn't buy anything at the con :P) we left to Japantown and chilled there. Ate at a nice Japanese restaurant and checked out some of the shops. I love Japantown, it's so nice and pretty *~*;

Ahem..back to AOD. So I only brought my Ayame costume right? It was simple and kind of boring after a while....when I wasn't with Momiji and Shigure I felt like I blended in everywhere. Then I wore a tie with my shirt unbutton the next day but people started to mistake me for Squalo Superbi from Reborn! lol.. WHICH in fact I love Squalo--and had to admit after I looked in the mirror that I did look like I was cosplaying him. XD Later on I changed (both days actually) because the long wig bugged the crap out of me. It tangles SO easily. I'm buying my wig from CosplayDNA(ebay store) next time because those wigs are gorgeous and around the same freakin' price! They're also heat resistant and de-tangle very easily :D But yeah....I kind of regretted not bringing my Chelsea cosplay (e_e); I would have entered it in the costume contest with Keika as Leon (Since he's from TOD too). My other friends entered though. Kay-chan and Ne-chan entered their Disgaea II costumes and won..BEST OF SHOW!!!!! I was SOOO happy and I was very happy to hear they went by "PaperSwordPart" because that's our cosplay group! At first I wasn't sure if they'd win. There were A LOT of awesome costumes!! Some of the ones that won though I was kind of like , "Ehh.." but I mean...the judges saw something in those ones so whatever, it's cool :) Everyone deserves to win sometimes!

I'm happy they won, not just because they are my friends but because a lot of money and work went into those freakin' costumes...@_@ They went for every detail! It was crazy...and to think I almost brought Flonne too, meaning I would have been up there with them too. XP Oh well, it's fine..... My other two friends won some Hall cosplay stuff, I was happy for them as well. I was the only one who didn't win anything..because I only brought my Ayame one which I'm sure they thought I bought or something. I don't know. It's totally fine ^___^;;; (I SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT KAI, DANG'IT....XD Naaaaah). Oh yeah! I met my friend "Rose"(Not sure if that's your real name or what you just go by..sorry T__T) on here too! She had an awesome Amaterasu cosplay, she won second runner up for it too. I was happy for her, she worked hard with that dang fur lol. :)

Ahh, but yaaaaaaah. Looooong post. I think I'll make a video right now. I don't know. I really want to but I feel tired!! Ehhhgheheheheh.

I look absolutely wonderful----NOT. Freakin' achne due to stress this week is still on my face! I hate achne... :[ I miss having perfect skin (okay...not perfect, but close!) Grrrrrrrr.....I'll just have to bring my MaryKay make up, because it's healthier and covers better than my covergirl. Blegh. I won't have to wear a lot of make up since I'll be a boy most of the time but I still need to look sort of flawless, I'll be Ayame for goodness sakes!! :O

Anywaaaaaaaaay~!!!!!!!! Going to eat out with my mom, she gets paid today and wants to take me out because I'll be gone to this AND Texas, she'll miss me... I'll miss my mom. ;~; I love my Mom. :D!


But yeah. Um. Pretty excited. I miss San Francisco *~*! & I love my cosplay group! (even though all of them couldn't make it to this, the ones I am closest to are).

Okay...going to go brush my bird's nest out and straighten this mop (my morning hair..I fell asleep after I showered so it dried crazy~)

OKAY soooooooooo....Ayame is totally finished and has been for the past week or so buuutttt I plan on taking my Chelsea cosplay too to match with Keika when she wears her Leon costume! I'll probably wear Ayame half Saturday and Chelsea the rest of the half.... then on Sunday I'll wear Ayame again because he is comfortable--unless I decide he isn't and go for Chelsea. XD

I only need to do the following:

-Pack for AOD

-Touch up Chelsea's boots, knee-pads and fix up the wig again

-Gather some treats to bring for the hotel room.

Yep. That's all...then when I get back I will be home for ONE day then go to Texas the next morning. I got to get up at the crack of freakin' dawn and then head to the airport at 7am, board at like...8:20 and leave at 8:45. I'll arrive in TX at like 3 something but it'll only be like 1pm in CA. :3 Apparently my travel time is like 4 hours and 45 mins? I have to switch planes at the LAX(LA airport) and quickly rush to my other plane that will be boarding right when I get there. Gee, that will be fun. I have no time to get lost. I just have to rush over! I'll probably ask someone where it is as soon as I get out, so I can hurry over. Ughh~!!

Anyway...I'm going to go edit a video and upload it to my youtube! :] Bai guyz~

Heheeeeeeee...MWUAHAHA. Ahem, anyway. How are all of you? Good I hope? (Or do I hope? ;D) Heh. In anycase most of today was lousy...I'm having to pack crap for three different reasons.

Said Reasons:

- Dad is moving to another place at the end of Feb but I will be in Texas all of Feb so this week is my last week to do it all!

-AOD is this weekend, got to pack costumes

-Texas trip...leaving next Tuesday EARLY in the frickin' morning.

Yeah. I'm all sore and tired of it, but I mean...what can ya do! I want to get my packing done tomorrow and then I'll have Wednesday and Thursday to do the other packing and work on Fanime projects (cause I'll be busy in TX..)

cosplay shopping! (^_^)

I had lots of fun yesterday! I went cosplay shopping with my friends Keika and Ne-Chan! I now have all my fabric for Fubuki, oh and I also have most of the other stuff in his outfit. I just don't have his shoes or his giant beads.Wait I also don't have the white contacts but......that's a maybe thing! :) I mean, I really want to have them It's just everywhere i look online there like hey here's the exact contacts you need. Then I'm like sweet! but then i look and it's like $1,000,000,000,000 plus shipping........it sucks! Keika found a store that sells cheaper ones that don't kill you but she doesn't know what kind of contacts they really have besides natural looking stuff. She cant go check cuz there store is REALLY far away. I'm praying they will have white! lol anywho.... After shopping I went to Keika's and we worked on cosplay for a bit! that was fun! we mostly focused on my Chidori anklets (I don't really know if I've told you guys about that cosplay) but yeah.....AND DEN! lol after that I went home to see my sis and then to Sheik-Chan's to talk about cosplay, make rice, and make a video! We both returned to my house to look at more cosplay stuffs and make chocolate pie.........YAY PIE!......Oh and I went to see New moon on Friday and it was freakin hilarious! I was (for once) the obnoxious person in the theater everyone hates. Yeah it was seriously that bad....that's my opinions I always laugh at cheesey stuff. Well that's about it besides that I am seriously excited for AOD! OH YEAH! me and Sheik-Chan found out that Sac anime 2010 is the 9th of January and I think we might go one day just for fun! But we would just chill in the halls, but still!!! That would rock!

Indeed we do. So unfortunately we will not be doing our Ouran High School Host Club (Long name -__-) crossplay for AOD. FORTUNATELY...we've gone back to doing Ayame and Shigure (Kay-chan and I) which makes me very happy because I love Ayame. I'm year of the snake too...not that it really matters. XD

Heh heh...Oh yeah did I mention...I BOUGHT MY SILVERY WHITE WIG FOR AYAME TOO?!?! I couldn't handle it. I found one on sale for $26. An ebay store online was having a wig sale for these coming Holidays so I took advantage and purchased it!
Tis a lovely wig indeed, I must say.

So my friend Kay-chan was sick today so Ne-chan and surprised her with soup and

She was very surprised and happy to see us. We mostly talked about our crossplay plans for AOD and looked at pictures online of other crossplayers and characters we might also crossplay as.
It was fun. I just hope she gets well soon.

Oh! We're not doing Ayame and Shigure anymore. It's official. :[ (Although I will probably do Ayame later on...) Anyway. SOOOOOOO....Wanna know what we have chosen? Oh and I must say. Every cosplayer has to do AT LEAST one cosplay that is totally OVER-done. XD
