To Aru Kagaku no Railgun: Uiharu Kazari and Saten Ruiko

I could have sworn I’ve seen these two somewhere before… but now I can’t remember from where! I thought it was Bakemonogatari, but the character list doesn’t include a girl with flowers in her hair.

I hope someone recognizes them! Thanks to Michelle for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to anon for letting me know this is Uiharu Kazari and Saten Ruiko from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun!

Hetalia: Axis Powers: Honda Sakura

If I had to take a guess, two characters come to mind: Suzumiya Haruhi from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi or Hirasawa Yui from K-On! It’s because her hair is similar to both characters, but the kimono reminds me Kinomoto Sakura from an episode in Card Captor Sakura.

What do you guys think? Maybe we should vote on it? Thanks again to Miguel for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to Clauie for letting me know this is the female version of Japan from Hetalia: Axis Powers, also known as Honda Sakura!

The 3rd Birthday: Aya Brea

Whatever series or game she’s from, I think she could be one of those strong female characters everyone else in the story falls in love with.

Who wouldn’t, right?

I’m not really sure what those Japanese text in the photo means, but the photographer probably put them there for a reason. A sort of signature maybe? Thanks to Sarah for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to anon for commenting this is Aya Brea from The 3rd Birthday!

SoniComi: Sonico

Well, she’s probably one of the cutest girls in seifuku I have ever seen, but not even that pinkish-white hair, glasses, and headphones give me the slightest clue as to which series or game she could be from.

I hope someone will recognize this cosplay from Winter Comiket 2010! Thanks to Leslie for sending this!

UTAUloid: Kasane Teto

I have this nagging feeling that she may be another fanmade Vocaloid character like Yowane Haku, but I've gone through a couple of Vocaloid fansites with no luck in finding out who she could be! I wish we could at least see what the number on her right arm is, then I’d have a better clue!

If I had to guess though, I’d think she’s probably another version of Miku or Meiko.

For now, I’ll be featuring her in the Unknown Section until I get a better idea. Thanks to Ian for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to Heimi for letting me know she is Kasane Teto from UTAUloid!

Kanokon: Minamoto Chizuru

Now this is interesting.

Not only is the uniform cute, but there is an additional cuteness of… cat ears or fox ears?

I’m tempted to say fox ears, because that symbol she’s making with her hand is a fox, right? And it looks like she has a tail too!

Anyone have any idea what series she’s from and what the name of the character is? Thanks again to Ophelia for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to Roy for letting me know this is Minamoto Chizuru from Kanokon!

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi / Zeta Gundam: Nagato Yuki and RX-178 Gundam Mk-II

You can probably tell that's Nagato Yuki from The Menlancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi giving a notice to the Gundam; but that’s just the thing: I have no idea what Gundam model and make that is! And those “03” markings make me think it’s an Eva Unit more than a Gundam.

So I shall be leaving this in the Unknown section while I quietly sit down and wait for my readers to let me know from which series that Gundam is from… please? While I try to figure out how to title this blog entry properly seeing we have a crossover between two series. A very cute one at that. Thanks to again to Miriam for sending this!

EDIT: Thanks to anon for identifying the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II from the Zeta series!

Hetalia: Axis Powers: Prussia

Now isn’t this a lovely image?

Ok, so maybe only the girls will agree with me here, but I couldn’t resist posting this piece of eye candy even though I have no idea where the character is from. I just hope I’m right in assuming this silver-haired character is male..?

Hopefully someone can identify him! Thanks to Millie for sharing this!

EDIT: Thanks to Alice for letting me know this is Prussia from Hetalia: Axis Powers!

EDIT2: Thanks to Syaza for sharing the cosplayer's page, Nanjo Kajo of Deviant Art!

.hack//G.U.: Atoli

It’s been a while since I last posted something into the Unknown Section. I hope you guys don’t mind my asking for help in identifying these characters! You’d think I know a lot of them by now, but once in a while, something always pops up!

Now this is one character I thought I’d find in a fighting game or some similar genre… Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find anything that matches her look!

Anyone have a better idea? Thanks to Daniella for sharing this!

EDIT: Thanks to Comic for letting me know she's Atoli from .hack//G.U.!

Fate/Extra: Caster

A fox or cat girl with a paper talisman? That can’t be right… aren’t talismans supposed to banish non-humans and creatures of the night?
Then again, it could be Megurine Luka cosplaying for her music video.
Whatever the story is behind this cosplay, I’d like to know about it.

Gundam ZZ: Elpeo Puru

It looks like a new flood of cosplays from Winter Comiket 2010 will be taking up a lot of feature space in Cosplay Holic once again! And of course, as far as Comiket goes, there are also a lot of new characters that I can’t identify, so I’ll be seeking help from my readers once again!
This cute girl caught my attention immediately, so I will let her do the honors of starting the features from this convention. Anyone have an idea who she could be? Thanks to Alex for sending this!

Ikkitousen: Kanu Unchou

It appears that some of the cosplays from Comiket 2010 (78) have been mixed up with the ones from Winter Comiket 2010 (79). No matter though… there are still several photos I have not been able to get to anyway! I need more time to write and research about more series and games!
I thought I could find out who this girl is, but I’ve gone through most of the girls in Street Fighter and came up empty. Perhaps my readers know who and where she’s from? Thanks again to Alex for suggesting this!

Ne~PON? x RaiPON!: Citrus

I’m not even sure if she’s cosplaying or not, but she’s downright adorable isn’t she? Those look like small oranges on her wrists and lemons on her hair.
Whoever thought citruses could look this cute?
If anyone has any idea what anime, manga, or game she’s from, please do let me know. Thanks to Mike for suggesting this!

Bakemonogatari: Oshino Shinobu

This cosplayer looks so adorable despite having dusty knees, that I'm wondering is this is also in character or something.
Won’t you share with me some of that bread you’re eating? It looks very delicious.
Please leave some comments if you have any idea who she might be cosplaying as.

One Piece: Sanji and Nico Robin

With all the submissions I’ve received from Winter Comiket, I realize that I’m way behind on my anime and manga series.

Perhaps you guys can help me out with this one? I mean… I've seen a lot of bizarre anime series before, but what’s a chef and a cowgirl doing together?

I see a bunny girl and a Miku behind them... Haha! How terrible of me to know the ones in the background and not the foreground!

Steins;Gate: Makise Kurisu

MoeHaku 2010 paid host to a fair amount of official cosplayers to accompany the anime-themed cars, bicycles, motorcycles, and even a bus on display for public viewing.

And as usual, it appears my loyal readers are on top of things, as I have a mountain of cosplay photos from the event! Thanks a lot guys!

Unfortunately, one of the first photos that caught my eye was a character I am unfamiliar with. Anyone care to take a guess as to who this cute girl is? Thanks to 2chMod for sending this in!

Strawberry Panic!: Okuwaka Tsubomi

This is probably the last unknown cosplay for the year. Wow, how long has it been since I started writing about cosplays? It's so nostalgic now that I think about it.

Anyway, pink haired girl with a black headband in an expensive looking school uniform... She's really pretty, and this is another image by photographer MPZero. I think I'll need to have sections for photographers too someday, but I have so many tags already that people might think it's confusing...

So! Any guesses? Please leave comments on this entry if you know who the cosplayer is or who she is cosplaying as!

The Prince of Tennis: Niou Masaharu

There has been a steady stream of unknowns lately. I think I should get myself updated with the latest anime and games.

If only I had more time in my hands. But I guess that’s what they all say right?

Alright, we have a white haired bishounen this week! He could probably be anyone, but the design of his jacket might set him apart from everyone else. Any guesses would be appreciated, but I hope more people would leave their names this time when they comment! Even if you don’t have a website, you can just leave that field blank, and your name will still register in the name/url choice. Thank you to everyone who has been pointing me to the cosplayers’ websites!
